FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2016 MINNEAPOLIS, MN – This week, Minnesota Nurses Association endorsed Ilhan Omar for State Representative in District 60B.
"The Minnesota Nurses Association is proud to announce their endorsement of Ilhan Omar for the MN House of Representatives District 60B. This endorsement reflects our whole-hearted support of Ilhan's campaign. The nurses are impressed with Ilhan's stance on our top legislative priorities, safe staffing patient safety and single payer health care. As well as her strong opposition to threats on the working class, like right to work. The nurses were most captivated however, by Ilhan's story and why she got involved in politics. The values she speaks of, her energy, and her vision for district 60B and our state is what earned Ilhan MNA’s support."
"I am honored to recieve Minnesota Nurses Association's endorsement," said Ilhan. "I have stood with nurses on the picket line and when elected, I will continue to stand with them in St. Paul. The MNA has a great history of leading with compassion and care. It will be a privilege to partner with them at the legislature."
