We are excited to announce that the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) and Ramsey County AFSCME Local 8 have endorsed Ilhan for State Representative in District 60-B.
This is what the MNA had to say:
"The nurses are impressed with Ilhan's stance on our top legislative priorities, safe staffing patient safety and single payer health care. As well as her strong opposition to threats on the working class, like right to work. The nurses were most captivated however, by Ilhan's story and why she got involved in politics. The values she speaks of, her energy, and her vision for district 60-B and our state is what earned Ilhan MNA’s support."
“I am honored to receive the MNA’s endorsement,” responded Ilhan. “ I have stood with nurses on the picket line and when elected, I will continue to stand with them in St. Paul at the Capitol. The MNA has a great history of leading with compassion and care. It will be a privilege to partner with them at the legislature.”
AFSCME Local 8:

We admire Ms. Omar for advocating for important issues, including support for working families, educational access, environmental protection, and racial equity.
