As the year comes to a close, I want to thank you for your support. Since winning the election last month, there have been a flurry of activity and emotions.
I have spent time at several meetings and a retreat with my fellow DFL House Representatives here in Minnesota. I am pleased to share that my colleagues voted for me to be one of the new Assistant Deputy Minority leaders. I will be serving on three legislative committees: Higher Education & Career Readiness Policy and Finance, Civil Law & Data Practices, and State Government Finance.
I have also had the opportunity to travel to New York City, Washington D.C. and Nashville, learning more about progressive policies and how to strengthen our communities.
I want you to know that I am thinking very seriously about how I can best serve Minnesota as an effective legislator, not just as a politician. Co-governing with District 60B is important to me and I am committed to providing our district with opportunities for conversation, feedback, and community building—details about in-district office hours and community forums are coming soon!
Thank you for being by my side on this journey. We have a great deal of work ahead of us. But I believe that together, we will ultimately triumph in our fight for unity and justice.
