Newsletter: Office hours, inauguration events, and more!

As I reflect on yesterday’s celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and its juxtaposition with Friday’s inauguration, I am ready for our fight ahead. I hope you will join me in allyship, advocacy, and activism as we move forward together.

My weekly newsletter will focus on updates about my work, opportunities to engage, and action you can take to move us toward a more unified and just community. I want these emails to be a resource for you to build your—and our—power.

  • We have office hours! My team will be available every Friday from 10am-6pm at 504 Cedar Ave S. The entrance to the office is behind the building. Follow the chain link fence, turn right, and you’ll see a path to the back lot. Come in the door with the Ilhan sign & our office is at the top of the stairs.
  • My team hosted our first Coffee and Kulan event, our new monthly community discussion with the 60B community. This month we focused on environmental justice. View the harvest document and live stream.

  • My colleagues and I introduced our first pieces of legislation. Find the bills I have chief authored here. For specific legislative updates, please subscribe to my capitol listserv here.

The next Coffee and Kulan will be at the University of Minnesota Coffman Memorial Union. All students are invited to meet Ilhan and learn how they can get involved in her work at the Capitol. Get more updates at the Facebook event
